“For Sale By Owner” homes very often overpriced
No-one denies that, on occasion, you can negotiate directly with the sellers and save money. However, most buyers assume that if they buy directly from an owner they will get a lower price. Since the owners wouldn’t have to pay a commission, they could pass along their savings to the buyers. But why would they want to? Most sellers don’t take on the burden and expense of selling their own home so they can give buyers a better price. They do it to pocket more money for themselves. Seattle real estate sellers are no different!
In fact, as often as not, people selling their own homes overprice them. They’re hoping to find some “bargain-hunting” buyers who will be hoodwinked into believing they are saving money because there’s no agent involved. In addition, even if the home appears to be priced right, it may suffer from hidden defects. Buyers moving in from out of town to Seattle Washington are the most vulnerable to assessing the value of For Sale By Owners. The home may be a steal compared to house prices in their home town, but may not be a good deal here in Seattle Washington.

Choose a real estate agent with experience to help you!
Many buyers start their Seattle Washington home search randomly. They see a home listed on a Seattle Real Estate site and in their initial excitement call the listing agent. Firstly, that agent is already working for the seller and cannot represent the buyer’s best interests. Secondly, you have no idea about the agent other than the fact that they have the listing. Real estate sales follow the same 80-20 rule found in most fields. Eighty percent of the agents do 20 percent of the business, and the top 20 percent of the agents do 80 percent of the business. You need a Seattle Real Estate agent with a proven track record of not just sales, but of helping buyers. Seattle Real Estate agents referred by New Quest have experience in helping buyers relocating to Seattle buy a home for the right price!

Seattle was first settled November 13, 1851 by Arthur Denny and his crew, which would subsequently become known as the Denny party. Its first name was New York, then Duwamps, then finally it was renamed Seattle named after Chief Noah Sealth who was chief of the two tribes living in the area ("Seattle" is an anglicized rendition of his last name). As of 2005, the city had an estimated population of 573,911[1] and a metropolitan population of about 3.8 million. Seattle is the hub for the Greater Puget Sound region. Its official nickname is the Emerald City, the result of a contest by a civic-minded association in the early 1980s to designate a pleasant nickname for the city [3]; the name alludes to the lush evergreen trees in the surrounding area. It is also referred to informally as the Rainy City (also Rain City), the Gateway to Alaska, Queen City, and Jet City, due to the local influence of Boeing. Seattle residents are known as Seattleites. -- Source: Wikipedia.com
